Laurie launched his first alarm installation business whilst still in year 9 of High School. This business venture was instrumental in establishing a lifelong passion for the security and communications industry.

This was the launching pad for many high profile projects managed by Laurie, Those most worthy of mention include Quality Assurance manager for fibre optics within the coal seam gas (CSG) projects and lead project manager supplying FTTH to the entire Hope Island resort of QLD.
Since then a major focus for Laurie has been the teaching and mentoring of staff, contractors and customers in technology associated with the security and communications industries.
