Overview:

This course will describe a participant’s skills and knowledge required to work safety at heights.

This unit it appropriate for those working in operational roles where they are required to perform work at heights.

Suggested learners from industries requiring:
- Distribution powerline climbing
- Safe ladder usage
- Associated protective equipment selection
- Climbing on apparatus


Entry Requirement:

Enrolments are open to learners requiring a foundational knowledge about the assessment of heights, fall awareness and protective equipment as well as experienced workers who require refreshers.

The training provides a overview of material handling at heights, managing associated risks, and the identification of work instruction and procedures.
Learners will be required to bring: 

  • Harness and associated pole straps

  • Hard Hat

  • Gloves

  • Hi-visibility long sleeve shirt and long pants

  • Safety boots
